These New Discovery pages are dedicated to our curator's new discoveries. These performers and artists are in no means new but, Wayne has discovered them through social contacts, professionally and sometimes randomly throughout Akron. Our city is alive with talent. We at the "Akron Sound" Museum will continue to develop, motivated and spotlight all Akron has to offer be it music, performance and of course the spoken word.

Steel Hip features the versatile Larry Leach on rhythm, bass, blues harp and vocals along with smoking hot lead guitarist Stewart Lenox, potent keyboard master Richard Scarborough, and the talented Jack Woodyard on percussion.

Meet Kyle Jozsa, Director of Education at Wandering Aesthetics and 2015 Knight Arts Challenge Winner. The "Akron Sound" Museum welcomes him and his organization. I have seen Kyle tell stories all around Akron.

He has performed at the "Big Love" event and at the Akron Symphony performance of "Sounds of Akron". He is quite gregarious and engaging. We hope to have Kyle and other Wandering Aesthetics staff have a presnce at the "Akron Sound" Museum as part of our commitment to preserving

the spoken word legacies of the city of Akron.
