The concert was kicked off by Tracey Thomas (former lead singer for Unit 5) - The Hurt included Terry Walker of "The Bizarros" and Kal Mullins of "Teachers Pet" and "The Fifth Wheel" was joined by Harvey Gold of "Tin Huey".  All of the musicians for the evening have been entertaining Akron and the world for many years, some continually and some in other great bands but always musicians.

The event ROCKED.

May 19th 2016 Through June 4th was the debut of The "Akron Sound" Museum's brick and mortar store in Akron.
It was located at Summit Art Space, 140 E. Market St. Its debut was met with great fanfare and over 200 Devotees attended during
the June ArtWalk. The kick off event was a benefit concert at Jilly's Music Room

The bands and singers were incredible that night. I heard many remarks of how well Tracey's voice was still outstanding. Terry Walker and Kal Mullins played with "The Hurt" and brought the energy of the "Bizarros" and "Teachers Pet" back into the forefront of Indie music. Harvey Gold performed with "The Fifth Wheel" and brought the history of "Tin Huey" to enhance an already rockin' band. Man what a night. The "Akron Sound" Museum owes them all a debt of gratitude for their talents.
